Death occurs when a target runs out of HP. When a player dies they loose half of the Gold on their person, unless the battle happens between two players more than 7 levels apart. They are then returned to the last visited city (like Recall) with full HP and MP. You can prevent loosing gold by storing it in the Bank.

If you die when you are part of a group you can be Revived by a living player or you will be automatically returned to life after the battle ends with 1 HP, but will not receive gold or Experience from the battle.

Some abilities like CoinFlip and Smite cause instant death.
